Andrea Wellnitz

Andrea Wellnitz collects plant material while walking her dog, she uses this material to dye silk and wool fibers.  

Andrea learned to felt while on Sabbatical in Vienna.  She enjoys the versatility of the materials.  This gallery provides details on wall work and installation pieces.   

Wool and silk is folded and tied to create designs and patterns.  

Andrea has recently enjoyed cutting paper, experimenting with positive and negative spaces and light and shadow.
